MAGA is dead, but my Monster Hunter Rise save file lives on via PC
Good morning, my friends.
It has been a while since I wrote for you. I have been very busy trying to get a job locally and finally succeeded. I start the new job next week, and it is in manufacturing. I have not worked in manufacturing before, so it will be a big change for me, but at least it will provide steady income and will pay enough for me and the birds to stay in our apartment. Wish me luck! 👍🏻
As I write this post, my mind is shredded from lack of sleep. I have been a night owl for a long time, but now I must try to get used to getting up early in the morning instead of going to bed at that time. I am trying to stay awake, but I will probably give in later and just plop down in bed for a couple of hours. It’s not easy to change your internal rhythm, and mine is set to go to bed around 3 or 4 AM at the earliest.
But soon, I will have to get up at 5 and go to work for 6 AM. That will be hard for me, as it is not my natural schedule at all. I expect I’ll get used to it eventually.
Regarding politics, I must confess to you that I have become numb and mostly disinterested in it. Trump’s betrayal of his voter base again has sucked whatever energy I had into a void of anger and disappointment. MAGA is dead and it’s not coming back. What comes next? I have no idea.
If you want an update on the 2026 election, see this video from Baris and Barnes:
Some of what they said did not surprise me. A large chunk of Millennial and Gen X men have left Trump’s base, and that includes me. We all rolled the dice on Don the Con, but, alas, he lived up to his nickname, and now we have walked away. Trump has committed too many betrayals for many of us to bother showing up in 2026 to save him and the republican trash in Congress.
When the final history of Trump’s second term is written, people will marvel at how and why he threw away a historic mandate from the people. But throw it away he did, and now it is far too late for him to save himself or his party. They are doomed in November, and their destruction was done by their own hand. So they get no sympathy from me on that count.
So what is left to say about Donald Trump? Or the Republican Party? Both are headed toward a Blue Hell Storm in November, and nothing can save them now. The funny thing about all of it is that they brought it on themselves. The Democrats have mostly been quiet and have simply allowed Trump and the Republicans to destroy themselves politically. Smart tactic by the Democrats, but they will be just as bad when they take power. There is no one to vote for in 2026; it’s all the usual shit all over again.
As I said above, MAGA is dead as a doornail now. Oh sure, there are still plenty of dead-ender MAGA cultists who still worship Trump, especially among boomers. But the rest of us have checked out, and we are not coming back. You see, my friends, Trump and the zionists who control him screwed up. He needed us one last time in 2026, but he and his zionist controllers moved too fast with the attacks on Iran. They should have waited until after the 2026 election. Now, a good 25-30% of his base has walked away permanently, thus opening the door to complete annihilation by the Democrats in November.
I also have little left to say about woke now. I have written more than 400 articles for this substack. What else is there to say about the woke crap? At the moment, it is lurking in the shadows, waiting for Trump’s time in power to end. I expect we’ll have some sort of resurgence of the woke mind virus once the Democrats take power. But at this point, I find myself completely numb to it. I still see people writing about it here on Substack, and I don’t know how they can do it at this point. It’s all the same shit recycled endlessly. Well, fuck it. I find myself utterly bored with all of it.
I know there are people here on Substack who make good money spewing the MAGA talking points. I see them in the streaming world too. They have an American flag in the background of their streams, and they regurgitate all the propaganda ad nauseum. But I have never been able to do that, I have to write what I think and now I don’t wish to even think about any of it. That is how tedious it has become for me after so many articles.
I suppose all of this begs the question: what is this substack about now? I do not know, my friends. It still exists and there’s a great deal of content here. But whither now? What shall I write about now that politics has become an exercise in tedium? I do not know, but I hope it works itself out one way or another.
Let us move on to other topics.
I have been doing some gaming here and there. I have been rebuilding my Monster Hunter Rise game because I lost my save file when I moved from Switch to PC. It’s an old game now, but still very fun and I highly recommend it if you are looking for a cheap game with tons of content.
Here are a couple of trailers:
Speaking of gaming, Valve has released the new Steam Controller. While some have balked at the $99 price tag, I think it probably provides enough value to buy one if you are a gamer. When my friend gifted me the Steam Deck I have, I did not understand the value of the trackpads that were included with it. But if you play PC games, you will quickly find them useful.
I think it sold out shortly after it was released, but then somebody said it was back in stock. I do not know, but if you want one, click the link above. If you use Steam for your games, I think you will find it a great controller, as it is essentially the same kind of controller as what is on the Steam Deck, minus the screen.
Before I end this short post, I must also mention an ironic and unexpected development. Even though I have not been writing much, I have noticed more free subscribers arriving onto my email list for this substack. They must be coming via the recommendations feature; otherwise, I have no idea how they have found this place. It’s kind of funny that I haven’t been writing, but more people are becoming free subscribers. 😂
Anyway, I hope this post finds you well and happy in your own lives. I will do what I can to write some good content for you, though the focus and energy I once had for politics and current events elude me at the moment. Maybe I just need a couple of hours of sleep? I don’t know, but my eyes are closing as I finish typing this, so I’ll end here, do a quick edit and send this out to you.
Have a great day; may Christ bless and protect you all. 🙏🏻
