Epstein scandal deepens: Prison video edited before public saw it
WIRED reports that the idiots who altered the Epstein prison video forgot to delete the metadata attached to the file. 🙄
Good evening again, my friends. This post is an update on something you might have missed. Remember the video that the government released that supposedly showed Epstein’s cell? Well, it turns out that the metadata attached to the file shows that the video had been altered after copying it from the prison’s system:
Working with two independent video forensics experts, WIRED examined the 21-gigabyte files released by the DOJ. Using a metadata tool, reporters analyzed both Exchangeable Image File Format (EXIF) and Extensible Metadata Platform (XMP) data to identify signs of postprocessing.
The “raw” file shows clear signs of having been processed using an Adobe product, most likely Premiere, based on metadata that specifically references file extensions used by the video editing software.
