I posted this on Notes, but I wanted to send it out to you guys as well, since some of you don’t spend time there. It’s a beautiful video, though I do not know who created it. But it’s a great reflection of their friendship, and I think it’s worth watching and sharing.
Here it is:
For those of you who might not be familiar with Shinzo Abe, he was the prime minister of Japan. He left office and was later assassinated while giving a speech.
Donald Trump might have shared his fate had he not moved his head at just the right moment.
RIP Shinzo, God rest your soul, sir. 🙏🏻 🫡

After reading "My Substackers " each morning, I move to devouring Notes--and do so through the day. This one is of considerable interest , as one child has spent last two years teaching in Japan. What had been simply a "very, very foreign country" with elegant art, has become--"well that's where my kid lives and hangs out."
