Good evening again, my friends.
I just posted the short article about the Israel/Iran situation, so now it is time to write something more fun. As most of you already know, I am a delivery driver for most of my income, and I’ve been out on the road a lot lately as rent will be due at the end of the month.
Two crazy dogs and a handful of Milk Bones
Dog encounters have been mostly sparse so far this summer. However, I drove up a long dirt road to a house yesterday and encountered two medium-sized dogs that were loose. The owners weren’t around, and I had to leave the package at the garage. Alas, the dogs were insane, running here and there, barking and growling at me with hate in their eyes. I knew I could not just step out of the car, or they would no doubt charge me.
I looked at Tiny Sting, my weaponized flashlight, but decided that it might not do well with two dogs frantically running around, circling in different directions. Nor did I have any desire to scare these two silly dogs. So I did what any smart driver would do: I reached into my vest pocket and pulled out a couple of Milk Bones. I rolled the window down a bit and tossed one in one direction and one in the other to give each dog a chance to grab one (some dogs are greedy and will grab two bones if they can get away with it).
