The Epstein Files: Phase 1. WTF?
Be prepared to be disappointed with the initial release of the Epstein Files. However, the next phase might be much more interesting, depending on what Bondi decides to release.
Good afternoon, my friends.
We’ve all been waiting with bated breath for the release of the Epstein Files, but apparently we will have to wait a while longer, since they are being released in phases. Phase 1 has initially been released to some “conservative influencers” but, as I write this article, has not yet been released to the public.
Don’t get excited because there doesn’t seem to be much in what is being released today, according to the NY Post:
The Justice Department is preparing to release notorious sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein’s personal address book Thursday, The Post has learned.
A source who has reviewed the files said the release spans more than 100 pages, including a list of contacts without further context.
The person said the unveiling was likely to be a “disappointment” to sleuths eager for bombshell new evidence about the billionaire pedophile’s connection to prominent political and business leaders.
Screw these stupid “conservative influencers”
I don’t know what the White House was thinking by selecting a handful of Con Inc. “influencers” to give the initial batch of documents. I have no use for these people, and I don’t want them to be used as any kind of filter for the Epstein Files. Why should they get first crack at any of the information?
I know that some of you might disagree with me here if you follow such people on social media. I have never been a fan of the Con Inc personalities, and I see no need whatsoever to favor them over the public. Just put the damn files online for everybody to see so we can all see them and write about them without favoring particular people.
I do not like this “phased” release bullshit
Another thing I don’t like about this is the decision to release the files in “phases.” This reminds me of the stupid way the Twitter Files were handled. Doing it that way ends up causing the public to become bored because it takes so long for information to reach them. Nobody wants to wait for information to come out in dribs and drabs.
The Twitter Files release also made the mistake of picking particular people to give the information to, instead of just releasing it all online at once. So those people effectively acted as gatekeepers and filters for the data. That was a dumb decision on Elon’s part, and what the White House is doing is equally stupid.
Turns out Bondi didn’t have all of the files
Moreover, Pam Bondi apparently did not have the full Epstein Files because the FBI has withheld thousands of additional documents, according to another article in the NY Post:
Attorney General Pam Bondi revealed Thursday that “thousands of pages” of documents in the FBI’s investigation into the sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein were withheld from her.
And she’s demanding that they be turned over by Friday morning.
Bondi, 59, disclosed in a letter to FBI Director Kash Patel a tipster said that all but “approximately 200 pages of documents” were still being kept secret at the FBI’s office in New York — despite her after repeated requests for the “full” Epstein files.
The initial batch included flight logs, phone numbers and the names of victims, but a source in the FBI’s New York office reached out and said that hundreds additional documents were not included.
“By 8:00 a.m. tomorrow, February 28, the FBI will deliver the full and complete Epstein files to my office, including all records, documents, audio and video recordings, and materials related to Jeffrey Epstein and his clients, regardless of how such information was obtained,” Bondi said.
“There will be no withholdings or limitations to my or your access,” she vowed to Patel.
Okay, so I know some of you will say that this is the reason for the “phased” release, but I reject that, as Bondi should have sent agents to NY to seize all such materials as soon as she was sworn into office. All of that material should have been in her hands already. And why did she apparently have to ask more than once to get it? She’s the AG; if the FBI office in NY didn’t cooperate immediately, every single person involved there should have been fired and brought up on charges of obstructing justice.
Trump, Bondi, and Patel need to begin charging people with crimes. It seems that there is still an institutional reluctance on the part of some people at the FBI to follow the orders of the Trump administration. Identify these people and get rid of all of them ASAP! If the Attorney General of the United States tells you to produce the damn files, you do so immediately, without hesitation or delay.
I know that some degree of patience is required as we wait for the release of the real information, not just Epstein’s address book, but I find this process to be stupid and unnecessary. Get all the files together, and then release them immediately to the public, with no censoring beyond protecting the identities of the victims (let them decide for themselves if they wish to share their stories publicly).
Bondi needs to get her shit together and get all the information out ASAP!
UPDATE: The National Pulse has an autopsy of the “conservative influencer” mess at the White House today:
Instead, Attorney General Pam Bondi and her team are being blamed very clearly in at least six conversations I’ve had this afternoon. Again, they gave no heads-up to either the influencers attending or White House staff about their intentions to distribute binders of information that contained little new information, frustrating both the administration and the general public.
I understand that a number of high-profile figures met with social media influencers this morning in another White House initiative to integrate alternative media and voices into the Trump administration’s media distribution channels.
The morning meetings included stops by Vice President J.D. Vance and President Donald Trump. Social media influencers also had a quick tour of the Oval Office, where FBI Director Kash Patel, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, and other members of the Cabinet and senior administration officials were present. President Trump is understood to have handed out White House memorabilia such as Presidential Challenge Coins and pens.
As the group moved from the Oval Office, several of the influencers present held up their binders for the assembled press, most of whom were there to cover the British Prime Minister’s visit to the White House.
Only after this media moment were the social media influencers told that AG Bondi did not want the public to know about the distribution of the binders, a caveat that came too late. One of the sources I spoke to called the entire incident a “clusterfuck,” with many of them resenting the fact that social media influencers are getting the blame for not releasing more information when they were asked not to, but only after the assembled media had taken pictures and video of them.
Rather than a conspiracy by the social media influencers, this event looks to have been a failed attempt to curry social media favor by AG Bondi, who scrambled on Thursday afternoon to demand the FBI release more files. This despite her claiming that she had the Epstein client lists “on her desk” in an interview with Jesse Watters of Fox News this week.
So it seems that this screw up belonged to Bondi, and she should own it. 🙄

BTW, I just posted an update that explains the mess with the "conservative influencers" at the White House today. Give the article a reload and scroll down.
Too much info given out can screw up any attempts at prosecution.
On the other hand, if you aren't going to prosecute, airing out the dirty laundry defangs the blackmailers.
