The Stones keep rolling for a while longer
Don't listen to morons on the Internet who say that the Stones have stopped rolling!
About a week ago, a retard on Substack had the sheer, unmitigated gall to suggest that the Rolling Stones had stopped rolling and had finally come to the end of their career. The fool had his head up his ass and posted these words in an article about the baby boomers:
Even the Stones have pretty much stopped rolling; as I noted above, their drummer is already dead. Mick Jagger is 80, and who the hell knows how old Keith Richards is at this point? He’s looked like he’s been 80 for the last 30 years! Will the Strolling Bones try to wring one more tour out of their geriatric bodies? I wouldn’t put it past them, but do we need to see Jagger or Richards collapse dead on the stage in the middle of “Brown Sugar?”
The Stones announce a new album
And what happened recently? THE ROLLING STONES ANNOUNCED A NEW ALBUM TO BE RELEASED ON OCTOBER 20!!! As you might imagine, the idiot who wrote that article was left with egg all over his face! It serves him right for doubting the Stones: as old as they are, they still have a bit of life left in them.
The album's name is Hackney Diamonds, a cooler name than some of their previous albums. It is a term used to mean "broken glass." Here's a screenshot from the official Rolling Stones site that includes a shot of the album cover, which is also quite remarkable.
The first song off the album is called “Angry” and here’s the video:
The Stones did some clever things in this video:
They were smart to include some hot tits and ass riding around on a car.
They used billboards to display performances from different stages of their career.
They finished with a more recent picture of themselves at the end, thus giving a nod to Father Time in a classy way.
The song has the vintage Stones sound, and it would fit right in on any other album they’ve released. As soon as it begins, you know it’s the Stones. Their sound is unmistakable, and no other band sounds quite the same today.
Looking forward to the release of Hackney Diamonds
I am very curious to hear the rest of the album, given the high quality of the first song and the entertaining and clever way they did the video for “Angry.” Say what you will about the Stones; they still know how to write good songs that fit their image, sound, and history.
Lady Gaga even shows up in one of the songs, and who knows what that will sound like? Her voice mixed with Jagger’s will either work brilliantly in a way nobody expects, or it will be a massive bomb.
October 20 will be a fun day for Stones fans: the first new album in 18 years! I look forward to hearing it and seeing what other videos they release. The Stones are even considering a US tour, but one wonders if they can take it that far now that Jagger is 80. We’ll have to wait and see.
One thing is certain: all of you people who read that baby boomer article should be ashamed of yourselves for listening to retards on the Internet who don’t know what they are talking about! 🤨 🧐 😜
