Trump's golden ballroom blocked by judge

Plus: Dementia-addled Trump threatens Iran again; The secret life of Kirsti Noem's husband; And some great songs to listen to on a rainy day.

Good evening, my friends.

As is my wont, I was browsing that sleazy tabloid, the Daily Mail, today, and to my sheer delight I found an article about Trump’s golden ballroom. Trump demolished the East Wing of the White House to make space for the ballroom, but now a judge has thrown a monkey wrench into the new facility's construction:

President Donald Trump’s $400 million White House ballroom project was temporarily halted Tuesday by a federal judge.

The National Trust for Historic Preservation had sued the Trump administration after the destruction last fall of the White House’s East Wing.

The preservation group had most recently argued in court that Trump needed Congressional approval before making such major changes to the White House.

U.S. District Judge Richard Leon wrote in his decision that no statute ‘comes close’ to giving the President the authority to take on the project without Congressional oversight.

‘The President of the United States is the steward of the White House for future generations of First Families. He is not, however, the owner!’ Leon wrote.

Leon approved the Trust’s request to have work stopped on the ballroom project amid the legal fight.

He gave a two-week grace period for the implementation of his order and said construction could continue on portions of the project relevant to the security of the White House.

‘It is not too late for Congress to authorize the continued construction of the ballroom project,’ he wrote. ‘The President may at any time go to Congress to obtain express authority to construct a ballroom and to do so with private funds.’

HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!! Oh my! How delicious! That judge made my day with this ruling, and I hope he continues to block it on whatever grounds he can find. 😂

I love that the judge pointed out that Trump is not the owner of the White House; he is simply the current president and does not have the right to do whatever he wants with it. That had to be a blow to Trump’s ego since he takes every opportunity to glorify himself. Whenever somebody blocks him from doing so, Trump loses his shit, and this time was no different.

Trump responded with a couple of tantrum posts on Truth Social:

I don’t care who blocks the construction of this rotten tribute to Trump’s ego; I just want it blocked permanently. If it is ever constructed, then I hope the next Democratic president tears it down with bulldozers five minutes after he is inaugurated. Not a single atom of Trump’s ballroom should be left on the White House grounds. Get rid of every single bit of it, and do not allow anything done by Trump to remain at the White House.

Screw Trump and his insatiable ego. 🖕🏻

Trump threatens Iran with more destruction

Demonstrating yet again that he needs to be removed from office, Trump went off on a tear by threatening Iran with the obliteration of its energy infrastructure and possibly even desalination plants.

This ridiculous rant just underscores how frustrated and impotent Trump is right now. He’s thrown everything he has at Iran, and that country is still standing. Iran knows that whatever Trump does, it can do the same things to the other countries in the gulf.

His remarks are still dangerous, however, because if he ever did take out all of Iran’s energy infrastructure, then Iran would return the favor by doing the same to the rest of the Gulf countries, and that would be a disaster for the world economy.

His threat about blowing up Iran’s desalination plants, however, is ludicrous since Iran only gets about 2% of its water from them. But if Iran blew up the desalination plants of the rest of the Gulf countries, those countries would quickly become uninhabitable. They get almost all of their water from those plants.

Yet again we see how Trump’s dementia is affecting his mind. Melania needs to take control of his phone or computer and stop him from posting this bullshit. It just makes the US look ridiculous as he continually babbles about things he does not understand.

Well, what can I say about this? I’ll just post this screenshot and let you all make up your own minds about it. The story is so hilarious and out there that I didn’t even bother to read it via archive.ph; I just laughed when I saw the headline. 😂
