She lives on with the disgusting show called "The View" and I recall Corey Feldman talking about him and his friend Corey Haim being sexually abused repeatedly by Hollywood executives and she tore him down and made him look like a complete liar. I never really respected her but this was what made me stop watching anything that had to do with her.
I don't blame you a bit. She was trashy and so is that stupid show. I hope it goes off the air at some point. A bunch of demented harpies sitting around clucking at each other.
I have to say something. I am a woman and an old one at that. I have known a few women as the one you are speaking. Some women are just jealous of other women because they are insecure, very competitive, narcissistic or never known they were loved for themselves. It’s quite sad. I am so grateful that I have been blessed with women friends that truly care for and love one another. Having women friends for 50 years you’ve shared your family with and loved each other’s children and helped one another through illnesses and deaths in their family is a God given blessing. Working together to give to a church to help others brings women together for a common cause to think of others rather than themselves.. Many women are good to the bone, but they are human and may have sensitive feelings. It’s about saying you’re sorry and laughing through tears. It’s about being grateful to have friends who are there for you. I live in the beautiful south, born and raised to love my neighbors, as myself, and so are my friends. I thank God every day that my friends were there to pick me up and pray for me when I had difficult times in my journey. Not ALL women are like Barbara Walters, but I hear Real Estate can make women do the same. It’s a game of survival, I guess, and especially back in the day when a woman worked in business in a man’s world. They felt they had to be tough to make it to the top. Sad. Being at the top in my world is trying to do what God wants me to do each day. Bless those women out there trying to make the world a little better each day.. ❤️
“What you are is God’s gift to you; what you become is your gift to God”
I taught all my students that. It is true. Be grateful, and do your best with what God has given you. He loves each person He made and has a purpose for each life. Search for His gifts within and share them with others. Guess that may sound sappy to many, but it has brought much joy to me and many of my students.
A friend of mine worked for ABC and on 9/11, said Walters was walking around the studio throwing a fit because the network sent Diane Sawyer to ground zero and not her. Then she insisted on ordering pizza and then threw more fits when the pizza wasn’t getting delivered, never mind that every business closed down and because of emergency vehicles driving was next to impossible. My friend said Walters was awful.
She is nasty. I recall her interview with Siegfried and Roy after Roy survived a tiger attack at one of their shows. “Are you lovers?” was her question to Siegfried. It was beyond tacky.
I can believe she said that, she always took advantage of people in bad situations. But then again, they should have known what she was going to do as she had a long track record of doing it.
My grandparents disliked B-Dubbz. They didn’t like her confessional-style interviews, which they found tasteless and shameless. (Believe it or not, kids, at one time it was considered disgusting and unacceptable to discuss all of your problems with people in public.)
I never cared for Barbara Walters (I always considered her a lightweight interviewer who wanted to please her overlords), and if she ends up with a tarnished reputation after death or retirement, I consider that poetic justice.
Oh I came across quite a few women like BW. Raised in a house with 5 men (all family), and spending much time on board ships, I’ve always found it much easier dealing with men.
You and me both, Joyce. I hate how, with some women, you have to filter what they are saying to figure out what they actually mean. You don't have to do that with other guys, we don't talk that way.
Thanks for telling the truth about this over-rated hag. I always wondered how she rose to such a high level of success when she was so annoying and off-putting to watch. Of course, she’s Jewish…but they all are. Total bitch.
The grand dame of high profile interviews was a piece of work. Watch any interview she did, she expected her ‘victim’ to fawn and grovel until the right moment, then she would strike like a cobra. A psychopath is not my preference for company or entertainment.

Corey was right. Now it’s coming out in that Nickelodeon documentary.

Ha, ha, that story I truly believe. She was an egotistical witch, and I can see her thinking the whole day was all about her! 😂
She also said that Barbara never learned the names of the underlings around her and just addressed people as You. “You, order pizza!”

Her voice always bothered me.
I know, she was so annoying to listen to, I don't know how people could stand her.
I remember my parents calling her BaBa WaWa.
Reminds me of Baba Yaga, the baby eater with her chicken legged hut.
The hut could turn around… perhaps not as fast as BW?

Indeed, but just wait until Oprah croaks. That woman is hiding a mountain of dirt! It's going to be ugly after she goes.
Agreed - Oprah is even worse. I’ll enjoy the schadenfreude on that wench lol
You and me both, sister! I cannot wait to see her carefully cultivated image blown to smithereens! 😂

You are most welcome, glad you enjoyed it. Funny how the truth comes out after these celebrities croak.
She slept her way up the ladder, including an affair with a black Congressman.
Her dad was a nightclub bigwig of some sort in NYC, Vegas, and Miami if I recall correctly—she didn’t exactly have to claw her way up the ladder
Walter’s was a complete fraud. Huge ego, little talent. Good riddance.
The grand dame of high profile interviews was a piece of work. Watch any interview she did, she expected her ‘victim’ to fawn and grovel until the right moment, then she would strike like a cobra. A psychopath is not my preference for company or entertainment.
Indeed, a vicious creature. People should have known better than to sit for an interview with her.
I guess I had forgotten her style. But on 20/20, she was ok, balanced with Hugh Downs.
She toned it down a bit for 20/20, it was her solo Barbara interviews that I found unpalatable.
Yeah, I vaguely remember. Plus her attitude toward Bill O’Reilly, even after he came on The View more than once.
"Men insult each other and don't really mean it - while women compliment each other and don't really mean it."
Ha, ha, good one! ☝️
People referred to her as “Barbara Wah-wah” because her voice and intonation were so annoying.
They were right too!
That was started by a skit on Saturday Night Live.
Walters was on top, and sometimes on the bottom…
More often the latter.
Bahbwah who?
Jane you ignorant slut.
Esteban, mi nombre no es Jane, tengo un GED y soy tan pura como el "driven slush".
