Block is beautiful on Substack!
If you don't like somebody's content, don't read it and don't complain about it
I had a weird experience today with two guys who talked trash about me and my content. I’ll keep their names to myself, but I was surprised to see their nasty comments after I clicked on the notification in Substack.
I blocked both of them immediately.
I do not mind constructive criticism at all, but I do not tolerate mindless venom either. If my personality or content is not your cup of tea, no problem. Please do not visit my Substack or reply to my posts on Notes. Go your own way and do your own thing, and more power to you.
I also found it amusing that one of these guys doesn’t write posts; he apparently just hangs out on Notes. There is nothing wrong with that, but if you are going to talk shit about somebody’s content, you should at least have something of your own to use as an example of what you have to say.
BTW, one of the reasons this annoyed me is that I have kept most of my content free in perpetuity, but I’m done with that now. The free stuff will be free for seven days, and then it becomes paid, and I think I will do more paid posts than I have in the past too.
I have also had a policy of comping people so they can comment and read stuff free if they can’t afford to pay for it. I will be more cautious about doing this in the future, as it seems that some people do not appreciate or value it.
Anyway, the point of this post is to encourage anybody who dislikes my content or personality to Mute or Block me. I will take no offense whatsoever, as I have no interest in pushing my stuff on you or anybody else.
Just hit that beautiful Mute or Block button, and we’ll go our separate ways. 👍🏻

Send out the flesh-eating scarabs next time; bitches who mess with liches get stitches.
the block button is the best thing about Zuckerbook.
it took them a while to implement it here on substack, so there's a few folks remaining unblocked who should be. better late than never though
