I cannot discriminate on celebrity detestation; I simply despise them all. There's a reason actors were looked down upon in passed times.

Your reasons were largely the same as I talked to my mom today. The median home price in the Palisades is 3.5 million. These are the people that show up for the house fundraisers for Democrat politicians and fund the insanity. They supported the idiotic forestry policies that directly led to these fires.

Indeed, Sim! The Romans knew the true nature of actors and treated them appropriately.

Also dead on about the wealthy Democratic donors. 👍🏻

Wth a few exceptions, I agree 100%. I found it hilarious to see all the abandoned EVs.

I didn't notice the EV angle, but thanks for mentioning it. Great things to have in the middle of a gigantic fire. They probably kept blowing up like popcorn in a microwave!

EVs are nasty when they burn. Wonder if those are the explosions people keep reporting.

I bet you are right again, Sim.

It's possible. I live in Montana where fire season is also a thing- a few years ago we had a big one in the hills behind our house, complete with helicopters w/ water baskets and planes dumping fire retardant. When the fire hit a patch of fuel (dry vegetation) it would literally explode, so much so that we were wondering if it hit gas/propane tanks or something. The firemen explained the cause to us. So it might be exploding EVs, or it may just be all the dried out vegetation the state (and landowners) refuses to clean up.

I'm on the East Coast so we usually don't have big dry patches. Thanks for the offering of an alternative solution. There is a crazy amount of dead brush in that area. It's a bit mind boggling that a permit is needed to clean up brush.

The permit exemplifies what is wrong with CA. Just a gigantic mess of bureaucratic bullshit.

Anyone who has ever lived in Southern California knows about Santa Ana winds, and they chose NOT to fill the reservoirs? WHY?

Oh. Southern California. A particular type of bubbled environmentalist lives there. Probably wanted to make Southern California more like nature intended it to be. Well, they certainly succeeded, didn't they?

One cannot have large cities in Southern California without reservoirs. Water is life.

It is a shame about Pacific Palisades. I say that only because I have driven through it and a lot of the architecture was just beautiful. It wasn't just celebrities living there, either, as you did point out. What a completely preventable disaster.

Because they are stupid, incompetent, and corrupt. This is what woke DEI bullshit gets you, but the voters in CA just keep on keeping on. 🙄

On the survey, which celebrity do you detest the most, you forgot to add "All of the above" LOL.

The only reason I can't wholeheartedly delight in the celebrities getting their comeuppance is because so many ordinary people had to suffer along with them.

Ha, good point, ella. I always like to give an extra option though so I figured that would help.

Yes, it's tragic that so many innocent, normal people had to suffer along with the Hollywood trash. But I wonder something, how many people in that area voted for Newsom and the idiot woke mayor? Do you see my point?

And Razorfist (see the video at the bottom of the article) made a good point about people who didn't vote for the Democrats moving out of that state. Joe Rogan is a good example, he got out and James Woods and others like him should have done the same. At some point, you cannot stay and you must vote with your feet.
