Doom sells clicks. I just roll my eyes when I read their prophecies. All I want from this administration is to break the back of the globalist leviathan.

That's a good point, I suppose it might help people get some attention on social media. But I would likely unfollow or mute the doomers after a certain point.

Slash rules. Now we just need Farage and the Reform party over here to destroy the Bolshevik scum we’re suffering under.

I'll only say that this is bad in that Trump is against Canada claiming control of her Arctic passage (her own internal waters), as he follows Obama's policy on that front. When it comes to Canada, we have a neocon set to take over, one more inept than Trudeau, Poilievre who is a more devout WEF member than him, which is utterly black-pilling. He is however a coward, so maybe Trump will rein him in a bit or he'll try to enact Trump styled policies.

Still though, I remain firmly optimistic and refuse to black-pill. I am quite excited and hope to with my Crowdfund pay for my book's publication via a publisher with Trump connections to mark in literary terms the new beginning. As Trump's election is in my view good news for everyone.

But for Americans' it is incredibly good news as Trump is immensely loyal to the US, and I only hope that he keeps out of conflicts and wars gosh it'll be nice to have a boring 4 years full of peace and quiet and a good economy. These past 4 years have been utter shit for the entire planet, now I hope that everyone gets a break, notably the Japanese, the French, Germans, Finnish and the Canadians. So kudos to America for saving us from utter disaster and getting a decent administrator and man at the helm of the Empire, rather than the monsters who would have destroyed us all.

Exactly! Give them no ear.

While highly skeptical of Trump's ability to accomplish much, I'm willing to be surprised.

Let's be real, Trump will need professional diplomats for the State Department. Those only come in neocon and Leftist flavors. So long as Haley, Pompeo, and the Kaganites are excluded, the State Department will be an immediate improvement over the last several administrations.

There are reasons for hope. If Trump gets rid of the illegals and increases domestic industry, that's a lot. For the first time in my life, people are seriously talking about ending the Fed and repealing income tax. These first 100 days will be interesting. I'll be saving my DOOMing for later.

We can only hope for the best and when he stumbles, we can try to pressure him to do better. I think most people would agree that being somewhat patient and waiting to see how things play out initially is a good idea. I think there are some people who are expecting far too much in five days since the election. That’s absurd.

Lol he's not even in office yet but some folks also have their hustle as noted previously so I get the DOOM. The reality will hit if the Republicans can hold off until after inauguration for an actual spending resolution. Throw the wall funding into it and I'll buy they're serious.

I've noticed the same thing, and I didn't even vote for Trump. For the record, this was the first presidential election I have NOT voted in since 1976, and it was an amazingly difficult thing for me to do. It was actually emotionally harder for me to stay home than it was to go write in a protest vote that would never be tabulated.

Whatever. We won't know who will be shaping Trump's foreign policy until he names a Secretary of State and a National Security Advisor. We won't know much about his domestic policy until we know where he is going to put RFK Jr.

Meanwhile, people who do want to play the prediction game would be well-advised to see what Trump himself is saying on his Truth Social before posting anything. I've seen several say that Pompeio was going to be in Trump's inner circle AFTER Trump "truthed" that neither Pompeio nor his warmongering female counterpart, Nikki Haley, will be in his administration.

That's a bad look. We have the whole holiday season and the Return of the Pink Pussyhat Protests to look forward to first. Playing the game of who can make the best guess first is a good way to get egg on your face.

Trump isn't Jesus, Morganthrak. Congrats on winning. Now we need to solve the following problems:

1. The majority of Americans send their children to public schools which turns them into LGBT transgenders.

2. The next generation of attorneys, prosecutors, and judges will be woke leftists.

3. 100 years of Borrow and Spend has us to the point that income tax cannot pay the interest on the national debt.

4. The junior officers at the Penregon view their institution as outside the chain of command which means the precondition for a coup is now in place.

Congrats we won the election. Now fix these problems or America is dead.

Those problems existed before Trump's win. So what? He will solve some of the country's problems and he will not solve others. Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good. You will get some of the things you want, but not all of them. That is not Trump's fault, that is just how life and politics work. Take your victory, savor it, and go forward with a sense of optimism.

I don’t allow the perfect to be the enemy of the good. I’m simply not convinced — nor will I ever be convinced — that any POTUS is “good” to begin with. I think that they are all fatally flawed, as are we all.

What are Trump’s fatal flaws? Hero worship of Trump, even thinking of Trump as a super-patriot or as a good man who loves his country, blinds Trump fans to Trump’s failings.

Go and read my previous content about him. I am not blind, but I am willing to give him a chance at second term.

I’m aware of your previous content and I’m not suggesting that you are blinded by hero worship or savior worship. I’m suggesting that the MAGA movement — which might have cult of personality characteristics — HAS blind members, who have forgotten Trump’s fatal flaws (if they were ever aware of them in the first place), which flaws were evident during Trump’s first administration.

Just remember the lyrics of that song by The Who. “We won’t get fooled again… Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.”

I was just saying we need to stop patting ourselves on the back and get to work dealing with the real problems before the ship sinks.

Expand full comment

Regarding the real problems: it’s pretty plain and clear to me that the solutions (if solutions are possible and to be found) are to be implemented locally, i.e. on the county level (if one lives in the USA). I accept that I have very little influence — much less leverage (the power to help) or the power to coerce — on the state or federal levels.

It’s kinda addictive to get all caught up in national and international politics. But it’s like a sugar rush.

Being correctly analytically critical and logical about Trump election inspired hopium is not being a doomer. Hero/savior worship will never accomplish anything. It’s only putting on blinders.

The USA has deadly systemic problems, the most severe of which is the debt. On a per-year basis, Trump oversaw a debt rate increase that was higher than Obama’s. The gross federal debt rose by about $8.18 trillion on Trump’s watch. The record for the largest increase was set by Obama, with more than $9.5 trillion. As of April 5, 2024, the national debt has grown by about $6.17 trillion under Biden.

Trump didn’t have to destroy the US economy via state lockdowns during the faked coronavirus pandemic. Trump followed the advice of Birx and Fauci and Pence. No excuses for Trump. No blame shifting away from Trump being accountable/responsible.

This story may get me thrown in a gas oven, but it addresses a topic that’s affecting many in the West due to globalist machinations:

Yes, the naysayers were straight out there, predicting that nothing would change, that the cabal have agreed that they would "give Americans" DJT for a term, just so the plebs don't get completely nihilistic about the whole voting process etc, because that could get a bit too ugly for the powers-that-really-be. To be honest, your pieces in the lead-up really lifted my optimism, for which I salute you. You were completely vindicated, and it must feel pretty darn good.

And as you say, all US conservatives should allow themselves to really savour the victory. There has been so little positive news in Western politics for so many years, that this is a tonic to us all, even over here in Europe. I saw Trump's videos in the aftermath, where he sets out his stall for what happens as soon as he is inaugurated, and it was stirring stuff. He looks nothing like a man who should be enjoying his Autumn years on the golf course, and every bit like the Man On a Mission. I loved it.

By the way, that Slash song is very cool.

Yeah well...I was pumped 4 years ago...then John Bolton came around...and Hillary ain't in mother fukkin jail...pardon my cynicism!! also YALE indoctrinated JD Vance is OWNED by fruit cake nut job theil who ain't no friend of the working man...so we'll see how that plays out...

I don't think you have to worry about Bolton this time around. As far as Hillary goes, there is no need to put her in jail. The sight of Trump back in the White House will be punishment enough for her, along with the knowledge that she will never be president now. Vance is as good a VP as you will find anywhere, and I like much of what he says. Let's let him and Trump do their thing, and then cast a final judgement in four years.
