So, what's up with the established fact, about a cop coming up on the roof, seeing a guy with a goddamn rifle (!), then just going on back down the ladder?? What happened to *that* really weird event?
Joe has a big advantage in that he is practically insensate at this point. This, plus a lifetime of being looked down on and (correctly) considered not good enough means that he can endure abuse that a normal human couldn’t sit through for five minutes without breaking.
Exactly. I've read that he introduced himself to his former in-laws with the declaration that he was going to be president one day, which has always sounded odd and had to be a bit surreal for them also. He tried twice and failed before being installed and he will not just quit because he's told to. He'll have to be carried out feet first and his party has no qualms about accommodating that. Plus Hunter & Dr Leather Granny want him in there as long as possible because of the various benefits they reap.
In the immediate aftermath of the shooting it was reported there were up to four individuals involved, before the lone gunman theory became the narrative. The other three were never named that I heard and there's been no more mention of them. I expect at least one of those was the second shooter and Crooks is just the latest patsy. Clueless and wandering around looking for his weapon that was waiting for him, maybe even having second thoughts.
Apparently they found Alice Kramden up there, too: https://veryvintagevegas.com/2009/07/22/to-the-moon-alice-to-the-moon/

Can we just fast-forward to the part where these clowns go to jail or something? I'd like to get to the good part already.
Given that Crooks was such a bad shot he couldn't make the school's gun club...yeah. Two shooters. You can hear it in the audio.

Screams break the silence
Waking from the dead of night
Vengence is boiling
He's returned to kill the light
Then when he's found who he's looking for
Listen in awe and you'll hear him
Poop on the moon
Years spent in torment
Buried in a nameless grave
Now he has risen
Miracles would have to save
Those that the beast is looking for
Listen in awe and you'll hear him
Poop on the moon
Hey yeah, shit on that moon!
There is no poop ON the moon actually, it's all poop. - Pink Floyd, probably
Why is no one asking why the SS didn’t postpone or cancel the speech SINCE THEY COULDN’T LOCATE THE SUSPICIOUS GUY WITH A F-CKING RANGE FINDER!
“Ah, probably just some dude looking for a good place to watch the speech, we are good to go!”
"Never interrupt your enemy while he's making a mistake..."; pass the🍿 please...
