The death of Hugh the manatee
A Florida aquarium allowed a larger male manatee to sexually assault and kill his smaller, weaker brother over the span of two months!
I read a lot of news, and I expect to see disturbing or outright disgusting things, but a report in today’s Daily Mail took it to a new level. Two male manatees were allowed to mate at a Florida aquarium, and one died as a result. To make it even more disgusting, the two manatees in question were brothers:
A beloved captive manatee has died after 'high intensity sex' with his brother caused severe internal injuries, a necropsy has found.
Hugh, 38, died at the Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium in Saratsota on April 29 after mating with his larger brother, Buffet, caused a 14.5cm rip in his colon.
The aquariam said it observed the pair engaging in 'in natural, yet increased, mating behavior' on the day, and then later found blood in Hugh's colon, before he was found unresponsive at the bottom of the pool.
According to the aquarium such behavior has been 'documented in manatees both in managed care and in the wild.'
Disgusting lies from the aquarium
I’m not buying the aquarium’s bullshit about the behavior happening in the wild; therefore, it was okay to allow them to do it in the aquarium. The manatees are animals who follow their instincts without considering the consequences of their actions.
On the other hand, humans can think and plan and understand the potential consequences of any action. In this case, the officials at the aquarium had a moral obligation to protect the lives of both manatees by separating them when mating behavior was detected. They did not do that, and thus, one died of a horrific injury as a result of the other manatee's behavior.
Questions:
Why were there no females available for the male manatees to mate with?
If the aquarium knew such behavior was happening, why did they not act immediately to separate the male manatees?
Who specifically made the idiotic decision to allow two, adult male manatees to engage in mating behavior?
The role of Alphabet Tribe ideology
We all know the real reason for the male manatee's death: the Alphabet Tribe. Oh yes, frens, you know full well that when the two male manatees were found to be beginning mating behavior, some woke communist idiot at the aquarium probably said, "Well, we can't separate them; it would be homophobic."
This is how twisted and sick some people's minds are now. They failed in their duty to protect the lives of both male manatees by separating them immediately, thus preventing the fatal injury of a rip in one of the male manatees' colon.
And do I even need to bring up the fact they were brothers? That alone warranted an immediate stoppage of this faux mating activity. But obviously, the dingbats running that aquarium refused to act appropriately.
The aquarium’s social media bullshit
Here is the bullshit they spewed on X, excusing the death of the male manatee:
And don’t think the scumbags at Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium didn’t get smacked around on X about it; read these posts (or tweets or whatever they are called now):
Since I was on X anyway, I added my two cents:
If you have an X account, hit that thread now, people! Smack them hard!
More details about Hugh’s abuse and death
The Daily Mail article left out many important details that were, thankfully, disclosed by the NY Post. Get a load of this bullshit:
A Florida manatee died earlier this year after having too much “high-intensity” sex with his brother, officials revealed this week.
Necropsy results revealed that 38-year-old Hugh died in April after succumbing to traumatic injuries caused by a sexual encounter with another, larger, male manatee at the facility — his brother, Buffett.
One of the fatal injuries was a 14.5-centimeter rip in Hugh’s colon, the USDA report obtained by ABC 7 said.
A fecal sample collected from Hugh after the encounter confirmed the presence of fresh blood, but employees at the Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium reportedly allowed the brothers to continue engaging in “high-intensity interactions and occasional penetration” throughout the day.”
“At approximately 5:15 pm, the larger male was observed penetrating the smaller male again. When the larger male swam away, the smaller male was seen unresponsive at the bottom of the pool. It was confirmed that he had passed,” the USDA said.
Handlers maintain that Hugh and Buffett had been engaging in consensual and “natural” mating behavior for two months leading up to Hugh’s death.
The months-long heightened sexual activity between the two brothers — the only manatees in the aquarium — was the first time the pair had been “observed initiating and mutually seeking interactions from each other,” Mote said in a statement Tuesday.
So this crap went on for two months? The smaller manatee was the one that died, thus making this more a case of rape than “consensual sex.” And the two brothers were the only manatees in the aquarium, so there were NO FEMALES for the larger brother to mate with, and yet the aquarium thinks this was okay?
The smaller manatee was trapped in a tank with a larger one, with no way to escape and no way to communicate to ask for help in stopping the sexual attacks by his larger brother. Yet the people running this aquarium seek to excuse all of it by saying it was “consensual” and “natural?”
No, it was not, not in any way. The lack of females alone is proof of negligence on the aquarium’s part, and not stopping the sexual attacks immediately is more proof of it. All of the people involved need to be fired, and prosecuted for willful negligence that contributed to the death of a helpless animal.
And all of this was done in service to the Alphabet Tribe’s narratives. ALL. OF. IT. See this screenshot from the aquarium’s employment page:
X aside, if you want to contact these assholes, you can do so via the form on this page.
Be sure to also contact the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. As far as I can figure, they are responsible for oversight, but you can also contact Governor Desantis’ office as well.
You can also contact the idiot President and CEO via email. Here’s his smug, self-satisfied photo:
These pretentious assholes bill themselves as “guardians of the sea and all living things that depend on it,” but apparently that doesn’t include Hugh’s asshole:
Scumbags at the aquarium that abused Hugh
I wonder how each of the people in charge of these manatees would feel if they were held down and someone jammed a pool stick up their asses? Gee, would that be consensual too? Perhaps if it had a razor blade on the end of it that would guarantee their colon would be punctured and they would bleed to death?
Disgusting, just absolutely awful. Two male manatees held in unnatural conditions by greedy (you know the manatees were just there to gin up attendance and the dollars that come from it) woke communist scumbags.
RIP, Hugh; I pray that the people who let you be tortured and killed in a two-month long sexual assault get what they deserve for your death.

Don't people who take care of marine animals in a zoo have to be, you know, qualified Marine Biologists?
Or are Marine biologists saying that it's natural for animals to display homosexual behavior that leads to death?
I am so tired of the Rainbow Brigade and their scumbaggery.
To say this is disturbing in an understatement. You hear about animals acting a bit "crazy" in captivity - understandably, since they're cooped up in cramped exhibits with what amount to cell-mates they can't get away from, even if they wanted to. I'm not someone who thinks all zoos are animal abuse and they do play their part in conservation and repopulation efforts, but even the most grandiose, sprawling habitat in a zoo is still no match for nature. No amount of "enrichment" can make up for freedom. I have little doubt this kind of "deviant behavior" in captive animals is due to these conditions.
I have a hunch similar conditions have similar effects on humans. No amount of enrichment (and I use that term lightly) - video games, social media, porn, so on and so forth - can serve as an adequate substitute for living in the real world.
