Thank you, Paul. No worries, Sting is always with me. Plus, in the winter, people usually keep their dogs in the house. The winter challenge is ice and snow on the roads. Dogs sort of recede as a problem until the spring, for the most part.
At this point I can't afford to subscribe to everybody I want to, but I was already considering scraping together enough to hit you at the full price. No way I could possibly pass up that bargain offering. And as my finances improve, I'll improve my sub with your as well!
Bill, I am very happy to have you as a subscriber at any price. And yes, I fully understand the difficulty people have in subscribing to so many great writers on Substack. That, alas, is one of the problems with Substack's business model. People only have so much money for paid subscriptions, so it becomes difficult to make choices.
You show a pleasing modesty. I am not one to spend $$ easily. In fact, in the 20 more recent years (2000-2021) when I was engaged in public school teaching, my teaching wardrobe came, almost exclusively, from thrift shops. But, whenever youngest child asked "Can we afford this?", I usually responded, "It depends upon the value." And so, I chose to become a paid subscriber last month.
Congrats Morg!
Happy to help
Long overdue. That little orange symbol will be Pure Undead Clickbait to curious passers-by. Then there is no going back. Good work.
Keep on writing!
Haha, congrats man :)
Have always enjoyed your writing style. Good luck with your deliveries this winter. Hope you don't get bitten by a dog!
