Morgthorak - they even used a couple of their patented slogans - "alleged ties to" and "according to sources" They are keeping "experts agree" in reserve for later.
As if the US Government hasn't sent Army and Marine Snipers into other countries to take out political leaders and military operatives. Iran doesn't need to hire people to attempt to assassinate the ex/next president. There are enough socialist/leftists/Communists in our own country that would do it for free.
We need to eradicate the deep state and trim the government down to size. There are too many people who have no allegiance to the flag or this country running things they don't need to run.
Shout out to those times in life when something makes too much sense, this being one of those times.
The article about an Iran-backed assassination attempt written by whichever propaganda outlet takes me back to the 90s. Desert Storm, which I was too young to witness, was regularly talked about in the mid 90s when I was growing up. Then, circa 1997 or 1998, I recall the US airstrikes over Yugoslavia and that conflict against Slobodan Milosevic.
As I look back, I recall Milosevic being a genocidal war criminal and if there’s one thing I could rally behind, it’s stopping pieces of shit like that. From a holistic perspective, I can’t help but wonder if some (or all) parts of that conflict and others throughout the 90s, too, were pointless; just another government to topple in a backyard that’s not ours — and I say that because none of those had to do with our freedom but our government’s interests.
I apologize for spitballing as all of this is just my opinion, but the legitimacy of war after WWII declined significantly. Everything we’ve seen after WWII to now has been akin to watching reruns of a sitcom, this recent development being no different.
Maybe I’ve got it all wrong? I don’t know, but per the first statement I made, this all makes too much sense anymore.
I doubt you would accomplish much going that route. That ideology died at the end of WW2, and I don't see it making a comeback anytime soon. It was designed for Hitler's personality cult and 1930s/40s Germans.

Excellent catch, very true!

They make it sound like Iran placed a "help wanted" ad to find this guy or something. 😂

I know, you'd think they could have come up with something a little more convincing.
