Time to flush the geriatric turds (Part 2)
A GOP congresswoman goes missing for 6 months and is found in a dementia care facility. We must remove all of these geriatrics from their government jobs ASAP!
A while back, I wrote an article about the geriatrics in our government. At that time, Diane Feinstein was still alive but was clearly on her way out. The situation has not gotten any better since I wrote that article, or since Di Fi finally kicked. This time around, a GOP congresswoman disappeared for 6 months and was found living in a dementia care facility:
Public backlash has erupted online after a 'missing' Republican congresswoman Kay Granger was found in a dementia care facility.
The bombshell report revealed the 81-year-old Texas Representative, who hasn't cast a vote in six months, was discovered at a memory care facility after reportedly being found wandering lost and confused through her neighborhood, according to an investigation by the Dallas Express.
Kay Granger, 81, who was set to wind up a nearly 30-year career in the House in January, was reportedly living in the $4,000-a-month nursing home for the past six months.
The news ignited fury over elderly politicians holding onto power and has sparked debate over America's aging political class, with both President Joe Biden, 81, and Donald Trump, 78, facing repeated questions about their mental fitness for office.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, 82, has also faced intense scrutiny after several concerning public episodes where he appeared to freeze mid-sentence.
Tesla billionaire Elon Musk took to X, formerly Twitter, to demand basic cognitive testing for elected officials.
This situation with geriatrics is just out of control inside our government. This woman was missing from her job in Congress for six months and was found living in a dementia care facility, and nobody noticed she was gone? Remember that the Republicans have a razor-thin margin in the House, so her not voting has had potentially dreadful consequences for the country. She had a responsibility to represent her constituents, and if she could not do that, then she should have resigned immediately.
Supposedly, she issued a statement about her situation, but I doubt she wrote it:
Republican congresswoman Kay Granger has released her first public statement after she was found to be living in a senior care facility while still raking in her $174,000 salary.

In a statement released Sunday, Granger said: 'I am deeply grateful for the outpouring of care and concern over the past several days.'
She did not address her current residence but admitted to 'health challenges' over the past year, while serving in Congress on a $174,000 salary.
'As many of my family, friends, and colleagues have known, I have been navigating some unforeseen health challenges over the past year,' she wrote.
'However, since early September, my health challenges have progressed, making frequent travel to Washington both difficult and unpredictable.'
She pointed to her attendance in Washington in November - during which her staff tweeted a photo of her staring at her Congressional portrait - to say thank you to her staff and 'oversee the closure of my Washington office'.
No doubt, as with Biden, her staffers likely wrote the statement and issued it in her name, with her family’s approval. One of her sons tried to put a good spin on it, but it came across to me as ridiculous bullshit:
According to Legistorm, Granger has not only continued to take a six-figure Congressional salary, she has also paid her staff over $1 million in the past year.
Brandon Granger, one of the Congresswoman's three children, also spoke out about his mother's condition in an interview Sunday.
He told the Dallas Morning News that, while the reports of her living at Tradition Senior Living in Fort Worth are true, she is not in the residence's 'memory care' facility.
'There's nothing wrong with someone wanting to live in a community with other folks their age,' he said.
'She's in a building with a lot of other folks her age that are super active that she really loves. She has exercise classes, she gets to be around people all the time, it's wonderful for her for this point in life.'
However, the 52-year-old Granger admitted that his mother - the first female mayor of Fort Worth and the first Republican woman elected to Congress - has had 'a hard year' and is surprised by how her condition has degenerated.
The last time constituents could recall Granger voting on any bill put before the House was in July.
I don’t buy for a second that the GOP leadership in the House did not know where she was and what her circumstances were; I think they just tried to keep it hushed up. Her staffers no doubt wanted to keep their jobs until January, so they weren’t going to give any of it away. Mike Johnson, however, had a responsibility as Speaker to make sure all elected Republicans were available to vote. If she was not able to do so, she should have been forced to resign so that a replacement could be elected to replace her. But Johnson didn’t do that and let the situation go on for more than six months.
She’s not the only one, however, that should have been replaced. Mitch McConnell, Chuck Schumer, and Nancy Pelosi should have been forced out a long time ago. No doubt, there are plenty of other geriatrics that are keeping their House and Senate seats when they should not be there any longer. All of these people need to be exposed and then removed from power ASAP. They have had their time, and now it’s time for them to go. They should not be allowed to linger on until they draw their last breath. We pay them to do a job, and if they can’t, then they should be removed.
I don’t doubt that there were people in the regime media who knew about her situation since gossip flows from the halls of power to the ears of various presstitutes, but nothing was said about it until now. It just goes to show you how utterly unreliable regime media is: If they aren’t outright lying about the news, they are deliberately omitting items they don’t want the public to know about! And those fools wonder why their networks and publications are going down the shitter financially, and why people get their news from X and Substack now. 🙄
Frankly, I’ve had enough of this geriatric bullshit. I propose that Congress, the Supreme Court, and every other federal institution have a mandatory retirement age of 70. That’s right, 70. And nobody over 70 should be allowed to run for president, either. There are very few people that still have enough intellectual and physical energy to properly do their jobs, particularly in high-pressure careers. Yet we have allowed these geriatrics to clog up our government like pieces of shit stuck to the side of a toilet instead of being properly flushed away down the piping of a house.
Now, I know some of you will say this to me in response: But what about Trump? He’s 78; he would not have been able to run. That is very true, but if we’d had a constitutional amendment in place 30 years ago, Trump might have run earlier while he was younger. Moreover, we cannot allow the current situation to stand just because of one guy, no matter whether we voted for him or not.
I will also say this about Trump: He is an anomaly for someone his age. Despite his fast food addiction, he seems to be in reasonably good shape physically in terms of his health, and he appears to have lost little in terms of his ability to think critically, plan, and execute on his agenda. So I would classify Trump as an exception to the rule here, though I understand that, once a constitutional amendment is in place, it would affect everyone who hits the age of 70, even someone like Trump.
If you don’t want a mandatory retirement age, fine. Then some sort of mandatory testing would have to be put in place to filter out the people who have aged to the point where they can no longer do their jobs. Even then, I think you would still need a mandatory retirement age of 75 or something like that. You cannot allow these people to stay in office forever.
Remember Dianne Feinstein? This is what she looked like not too long before she finally died:
She looked like a cadaver! And do I need to bring up Ted Kennedy or John McCain, who held onto their senate seats until their dying breath? While they were incapacitated, Massachusetts and Arizona were lacking one senator. The same applied to Feinstein when she was dying, and California lacked its mandated constitutional representation in the Senate.
Enough is enough. We need to take a political plunger to the toilet of Washington, DC and unclog the pipes! It is time to flush the geriatrics from our government, once and for all!

Term limits would take care of most of this problem. Without the incumbent advantage, it would be harder to get elected at an advanced age.
Normal people are forced to retire at 62-65. The FAA has forced pilots to retire at 65, while some federal law enforcement agents are required to retire at 56-60.
I think people should retire at 65 so they can enjoy life. If they want to continue working, they can, but only part-time.
Our country has replaced life with work, and people no longer enjoy their golden years.
If the government stopped taxing us so heavily and stopped being so concerned with GDP, people could live.
