Trump's campaign was hacked, but by whom?

Why would the Iranians want to hack Donald Trump's campaign? What could they possibly get out of it? Perhaps it wasn't the Iranians at all?

We are deep into the midst of the silly season, and the silliness never ends. Trump’s campaign has said that they were hacked, and fingers are now being pointed at Iran:
