Why is Nimarata Haley still running?
Nasty neocon Haley refuses to exit the race. What is she waiting for?
As I write this post, Donald Trump just smashed Nikki Haley again in Michigan’s primary:
Former President Donald Trump won the Michigan Republican primary Tuesday over rival Nikki Haley.
The race was called at exactly 9 p.m. - when all Michigan's polls were closed - with Trump leading Haley 65 percent to 30.9 percent, with 12 percent reporting.
Trump has bested Haley in all four of the early primary states where they've both appeared on the ballot - Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and now Michigan.
The former president also won the Nevada caucuses and a symbolic vote for Trump - voters choosing 'none of these candidates' - bested Haley in Nevada's presidential primary.
Haley, however, has vowed to press on, telling supporters in Charleston Saturday night that she would continue in the race through Super Tuesday, March 5, when 16 states and American Samoa hold primary contests.
She was also recently humiliated in South Carolina - her home state - where Trump beat her soundly. Yet Haley still refuses to leave the race, so what is going on here?
I think there are two possibilities:
She is raking in the cash from Democrats (and Republicans) who will do anything to stop Trump. Haley might be taking in so much money that she figures that she might as well keep riding the money wave until the very end.
She knows something we do not, and is waiting for something to happen to Trump so that she can become the Republican candidate.
The money is still rolling in, so why end her campaign?
I don’t know Haley’s exact money numbers, but this article indicates that she is still raking in millions despite her losses:
As Nikki Haley falls behind Donald Trump in the Republican presidential primary, something strange is happening: Many of her donors are sticking with her.
Sure, some big money has given up on the former South Carolina governor, who refuses to drop out despite losing every contest so far and falling 20 points shy of winning her own state last week.
But other Haley donors say that giving to her campaign has become about more than just backing a Republican with the best shot at winning: They see their donations as a way to protest Trump's takeover of their party.
One can hardly blame her for staying in and taking the money if people are stupid enough to give it to her. The article I mentioned above doesn’t seem to differentiate between Republican and Democratic donations to Haley’s campaign. It would be interesting to know how much money is being funneled to her by the Democrats.
Certainly, she has also gotten some Democratic votes in states that have some sort of open primary system. There are Democrats that hate Trump so much they will crawl through broken glass to vote for his opponent, even if it is a bloodthirsty neocon piece of trash like Haley. Such Democrats couldn't care less who was running against him, as long as they could try to hurt him with their votes.
Does Nimarata Haley know something we do not?
Does Haley know something we don't know about what is going to happen to Trump in the future? Is she colluding with the McConnell wing of the party and the Democrats to be in position if there is an attempt to remove Trump as the Republican nominee?
I do not think there is any way we can know for sure right now. But Trump has been indicted multiple times, and there is a massive lawfare effort in play against him. He might prevail in court or have any conviction overturned, but what happens if he is convicted and his enemies in the party move against him to quickly remove him as the nominee?
If that were to happen, Nimarata Haley would be there to accept the nomination as the only candidate to carry the campaign out all the way to the end. She would be the default choice of McConnell and the rest of the establishment scum in the Republican Party.
The Republican base, of course, would be furious, but what could they do about having Haley shoved down their throats by the party elites? They could stay home and not vote, but I doubt that would concern McConnell and his ilk. They would be much happier if Biden got another term than if Trump triumphed, and they were forced to deal with him again for four years.
Stopping Trump from becoming the nominee would also mean that he would never be a presidential candidate again. He would be too old and diminished to run again in 2028. The McConnell wing of the Republican Party knows this, and is likely to seize on any opportunity (such as a fake conviction in a blue state) to rid themselves of Trump as president forever.
Getting rid of Trump also serves the interests of the Military Industrial Complex, which distrusts Trump and would be much happier if a reliable neocon like Nimarata were president. They own her, and they know it. They would say the word "jump,” and she would reply, "How high, master?”
There is another darker, much more sinister possibility: Haley is standing by in case something truly awful were to happen to Trump, such as a plane crash or some other situation that resulted in his death. I covered the possibility of the Deep State assassinating Trump in an earlier article, and it remains a distinct possibility if they get desperate enough and feel there is no other way to stop him.
Nimarata Haley isn’t going anywhere for now
We are in uncharted waters with all of these possibilities. One thing is for sure: Nimarata is going to stay in as long as possible so that if Trump is taken down, she will be ready to become the Republican Party nominee.
If such a thing were to come to pass, I would not vote for her under any circumstances, and I bet I’m not alone in feeling that way either. A sizable chunk of the Republican base would stay home, and the down-ballot destruction that would result would destroy the party for years.
If Trump is taken down, then the party itself needs to be taken down by its own voters. Under no circumstances should a warmonger like Haley become president.

Trump is facing multiple criminal prosecutions, and 91 counts of criminal misconduct. He only needs to be convicted on one to be sent to prison. If that happens early enough, then she would become the default republican candidate. Why wouldn’t she stay in?
A columnist I follow, Erick Erickson, wrote this about the Michigan Republican primary results: “While Donald Trump decisively won the GOP primary, Nikki Haley won more than 1 in 4 Republican voters. The result was that Trump was yet again kept beneath 70% by an opponent who is all but running a symbolic campaign.” Erick Erickson is not a fan of Donald Trump, but he’s not enthusiastic about Haley, either. He wanted Ron DeSantis. I like your article. Still I can only think of bad reasons why she’s staying in the race. After all, the Koch brothers have pulled their financial support and Mitch McConnell announced his intention to step down as Senate GOP leader.
