Unveiled in 1914, the Confederate Memorial was designed by noted American sculptor Moses Jacob Ezekiel, a Confederate veteran and the first Jewish graduate of Virginia Military Institute. Standing on a 32-foot-tall pedestal, a bronze, classical female figure, crowned with olive leaves, represents the American South. She holds a laurel wreath, a plow stock and a pruning hook, with a Biblical inscription at her feet: "They have beat their swords into plough-shares and their spears into pruning hooks." The statue stands on a pedestal with four cinerary urns, one for each year of the war, and is supported by a frieze with 14 shields, one for each of the 11 Confederate states and the border states of Maryland, Kentucky and Missouri. Thirty-two life-sized figures depict mythical gods alongside Southern soldiers and civilians.
An inscription of the Latin phrase “Victrix causa diis placuit sed victa Caton” (“The victorious cause was pleasing to the gods, but the lost cause to Cato”) construes the South’s secession as a noble “Lost Cause.”

I do not know how it will turn out with this memorial. It might be saved, but that seems doubtful to me. We shall soon enough, but the larger issue here is where the desire to remove it comes from, and that is the Year Zero mentality ingrained in the brainwashed woke communists.
Pol Pot, Year Zero and the murder of millions in Cambodia

Year Zero (Khmer: ឆ្នាំសូន្យ, Chhnăm Sony [cʰnam soːn]) is an idea put into practice by Pol Pot in Democratic Kampuchea that all former culture and traditions within a society must be completely destroyed or discarded and that a new revolutionary culture must replace it starting from scratch. In this sense, all of the history of a nation or a people before Year Zero would be largely deemed irrelevant, because it would ideally be purged and replaced from the ground up.

Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge, most of whom were French-educated communists,[4] took inspiration from the concept of "Year One" in the French Revolutionary Calendar.[citation needed] The French "Year One" came about during the French Revolution when, after the abolition of the French monarchy on 20 September 1792, the National Convention instituted a new calendar and declared that date to be the beginning of Year I.[3]

Pol Pot’s policies were so radical, so destructive, and so stupid that they brought on an invasion of Cambodia by Vietnam. Even the Chinese, Pol Pot’s nominal allies, thought his policies went too far. Ultimately, his regime fell and Cambodia was freed from his madness, but not before millions of Cambodians were killed.
Year Zero and today’s woke communists
The real thing to pay attention to here is the Year Zero mentality among today’s woke communists. It is what we have seen here in the Globalist American Empire. Tearing down Confederate statues is simply the beginning of a much more dangerous path of cultural and historical destruction that will happen if the Year Zero mentality is allowed to continue.
The woke communists in the GAE and its vassal states in Europe are at an early stage of their version of Year Zero. They do not yet have the power necessary to implement it fully, but they will certainly do so if they can attain enough power. Never doubt that they will always pursue such power, they are relentless, and their appetite for their identity-Marxist utopia is insatiable.
The idea of them gaining that power should scare the crap out of you. Remember that they already control the military, most of the media, the indoctrination centers (schools, colleges, etc.), and many of the largest corporations, as well as many state governments, along with much of the rest of the federal bureaucracies.
Fast-forward ten or twenty years, and then ask yourself how things will be if they are not stopped and their policies are not reversed. Moreover, every trace of woke communism must be removed from all the institutions that it now controls, or the commies inside those places will simply bide their time and continue to push their madness on the rest of society when it becomes safe again for them to do so.
Do not underestimate the woke commies
Do not take the woke communists lightly, they are deadly enemies, and their ideology is the same as a religion to them. In that sense, they truly are fanatics, and they will not stop unless they are stopped by others from forcing their madness on others. Never forget this, and never let your guard down when dealing with them.
We’ve already seen the woke commies infiltrating Substack and demanding that a censorship regime be installed here. So far, the people running Substack have not caved to their demands, but who knows if that will last? Once a real “trust and safety” regime is installed here, all dissenting voices will be silenced, and the communists will enforce rigid ideological controls.
As part of that, you can bet that Substacks like the Tomb of Morgthorak and many others would be removed from the platform entirely, and all existing content would be hidden from public view and ultimately erased completely. That is how the woke communists always do things.
Remember what the commies did to pre-Elon Twitter? How many accounts were banned, and their content removed from public view? The same thing can happen here if we do not remain steadfast in opposing the commies. We cannot give them an inch of ground, we must hammer them mercilessly because we will get no mercy from them whatsoever. We are their enemies, and they know it.
Resist Year Zero and the woke commies
When you encounter the Year Zero mentality, oppose it with all your might. Give no ground whatsoever to the woke communists. Push back hard and retake every inch of ground from them so that they cannot implement their cultural destruction. The power they seek must be denied to them, and their ideology must be stamped out wherever it rears its ugly, monstrous head.
Remember that the Year Zero madness might begin with statues, but it never stops there. It always ends with the deaths of millions of people.
