I actually voted for Vance, for one reason and one reason only--he was opposed to the Ukraine War while his Democrat opponent, Tim Ryan, was all for the war. It's the first and only time I ever voted for a Republican for Senate.
Vance delivered on that one thing for me, he has wisely retreated on abortion, and I think he remembers where he came from. He did write a book about that, which I read.
Trump could have picked FAR worse than JD Vance. Rubio springs to mind.
The fundamental problem in this country is that we have long been stuck with the choice of their socialism (Team D) or every increasing concentration of economic power (Team R). Trump is not a natural [pre Trump] Republican. Trump originally planned to run on the Reform Party ticket. Instead, he waited and did a hostile takeover of the Republican Party.
While Trump had many correct sentiments, and balls the size of tennis balls, he did not have staff support and his rhetoric does not have the logical coherence needed to guide a civil service chosen via civil service exams.
Vance brings some intellectual cred to the table. Vance is more NPR friendly AND is in the correct zone politically.
Moreover, if the demoncrats succeed in assassinating Trump, they are stuck with Vance. Vance would be to Trump what Johnson was to Kennedy. Complete nightmare mode!
Funny enough, Vance’s policy views are actually very similar to the pre Regan Republican party. Neocons are flipping their shit. As far as they were concerned they took over and erased all memory of what came before.
I like this quote: "I just don’t care,” he explained on an appearance with Tucker Carlson about regulating private tech companies. “I don’t care that Google is a private company, because it has too much power. And if you want to have a country where people can live their lives freely, you have to be concerned about power, whether it’s concentrated in government or concentrated in big corporations.”
But it's politics. Nobody in politics is ever going to check all the boxes. Those who devote their lives to "public service" tend to be D-Bags generally.
I don't know too much about Vance really. He wrote a book, hated on Trump for a while. So...
Politics attracts D-Bags. Always has always will.
The real question is, do peoole believe that Trump's Co-Captain has the same resolve?
Who knows. At this point everything's still up in the air.
I fantasize this time of year about the American experiment with a republican form of government being reborn. I know it’s just a fantasy. Instead of a shit sandwich, I’ll have a hopium one on rye toast with mustard.
The deep state oozes all around every insurance company hospital, energy company, , local government, streaming company, spraying over our and tha media
Hey, fair is fair. I don't hate the guy so I'll give him a chance. But my expectations are incredibly low anyway for a new Trump administration.
I just hope that DJT's penchant for revenge plays out and he goes after the Deep State. Let him unleash hell on them and I shall be well satisfied with my vote. Anything else is just extra.

Personally, I am thrilled that he picked Vance.

Good, I’m glad to hear it. I’ve not been monitoring the neocons, but if they hate him, all the better.

The Bulwar... I mean The Bootlick is even more unhinged.
Ha, ha! Who is funding the National Review, and who the hell would read that rag? 😂
I'm glad they don't like Vance or Trump. Screw them.

Rule 13 is going to be about antitrust options...
I still think Rand Paul would be the best choice but oh well.
I like Vance and I think he can carry the America first message and programs into the future.
Would you like your shit sandwich on White or Wheat today sir?
I’ll pass on the bread, but I’ll have some cheese on my shit. Thank you very much. 😂
And his wife is Indian…
He doesn’t have good luck with guys whose name ends in “..nce”.
An excrement sandwich it is indeed.

Well just have to wait and see.

Well, that didn’t take long for the disappointment. I thought it would unfold during his presidency and I had another few months of wishful thinking.
Set it aside, and focus on the Deep State. Vance's shit stinks as much as anybody else's, so no surprise there. So it goes in DC.
Agreed.
This bodes well for him:

I added it to the article as an update.
Good, I was not aware of that part of his record, I’m glad you brought it up. If you have any good links, I’ll add an update to the article. Thanks.
I tweaked the title of the article to this:
"Yes, J.D. Vance sucks in some ways, but so what? "
It was the best I could do to lean slightly in a more positive direction. 😂
