The Washington Post recently dubbed the cluster bombs "controversial", instead of "illegal" or "banned". That's a significant shift towards engineering the public perception and acceptance. No doubt, in a few months they might dub them "freedom bombs".

However, the media in my country is even worse: they happily parrot the term "controversial" from their Western overlords, even though my country is a signatory to the treaty that actually bans that stuff (the US isn't), and even though we've experienced the terror of its use first hand, some 30 years ago.

All war is terrible, and all weapons are horrifying in a similar measure, yet one feels now is when lines are truly being crossed into darkness.

This goes right with the neocons and woke commies blithely ignoring political and constitutional precedents in various ways over the last ten years. They simply do not care about the law, constitution or institutional mores developed over many years. They do whatever suits them at the moment, with no regard for the long term consequences.

I've already seen how Biden's people are spinning the cluster bomb thing, claiming that they won't be used near populated areas, etc. They are lying like they always do, but there are likely enough people who will stupidly believe them.

Back when the media labelled cluster munitions as "banned" and "illegal," they labeled Azov as neo-Nazis. Now swastikas are a sign of a newfound multicultural appreciation for Hinduism, so it's no surprise that cluster bombs are getting a similar message-bath.

Isn't amazing how the narrative shifts? Whenever they need it to, it just goes in the direction they want, and everything before is forgotten and memory-holed.

Interesting. Please supply references. The symbol has other historic sources. I’ll look for references too.

"Biden thinks keeping the war going past the election will help him win because he won’t have another loss like Afghanistan on his record."

Biden's cabinet does...I don't know if Biden himself thinks much of anything these days.

I'm totally for losing a lot of the GAE's politicians. These people do nothing but feed off the people like giant ticks and they are in the pockets of the MIC, pharma, etc. Just totally useless.
