Abortion should not be a national conversation, nor should it ever have been. America is too diverse and big and just can’t get along – especially on moral issues like abortion and marriage. So, Jackson Women’s Health Organization took the 15- week bait, and Roe v. Wade got thrown out. Don’t throw it back in! Let it always remain with the states.

One of the wisest Founders most people don’t know about, Robert Yates, aka Brutus, discusses how America will become a big country and how the sovereign states should remain small republics. He quotes Baron de Montesquieu from the Spirit of the Laws about how free republics should be small: https://lizlasorte.substack.com/p/a-modest-proposal-part-iv-amending?r=76q58

Meanwhile, real issues abound - complete and utter corruption and incompetence of the federal government, the war machine raging, WEF…but Melania is elegant and cool, even if she did marry DJT.

Melania said it concisely: "And I believe in individual freedom. I want to decide what I want to do with my body. I think I don't want government in my personal business. I think it's very important.'

DC needs to stay out of it. It needs to up to the people in each state to decide what's best for them.

For DC to stay out of it, means that the PPA needs to die and be buried deep. After all, they aren't a family planning service, they are a bunch of murderers.

If a woman has a medical need for an abortion, it should be done in a hospital setting, where they can save her life if something goes wrong.

Morgthorak, I think you’re absolutely on point. The dynamic between Melania and Donald is incredibly intriguing—especially when you look at it through the lens of emotional intelligence. Both of them exude a kind of allure that combines being super sexy with having a strong EQ, and that’s rare. They navigate their public and private lives in a way that demonstrates mutual respect, which, as you pointed out, is no small feat given their larger-than-life personas.

However, when it comes to how Melania’s book might impact the election, I think we have to be realistic. Her stance on abortion rights, while certainly making headlines, isn’t going to sway the broader electorate in any significant way. If Donald wins, her book continues to sell as a reflection of their partnership and her independent voice. If he loses, the best time for book sales is now, when the public is engaged and the stakes are high. Ultimately, I see this more as a savvy move to boost her personal brand and sales—sexy and smart don’t always go together, but in this case, they definitely do.

The timing is interesting, as you mention, but will it shift the needle on Election Day? Likely not. What it will do, though, is keep Melania relevant and in the conversation, no matter what the outcome.

Good point about the book, she sort of wins either way. Smart time to release the book on her part, but then again she is a very intelligent lady.

Excellent comment, thanks for posting it.

It doesn’t matter to me what she thinks. It is still the murder of a baby. When you murder a pregnant woman, the government always charges the murderer with 2 murders. Even in California.

Seems as though abortion "rights" are the most important point for Dems here in SE Pa. Just got another issue of The Independent (lol) a tiny newsprint paper (in size like the ones AARP has sent me since I was 25, and not exactly of retirement age) and a glossy large postcard: both of them with one focus only. Your right to murder your baby.

I wonder how many truly believe it, and now many are just using it because they think it will help them gain power? 🤔

I truly don’t understand why it’s a political thing in the first place, that needs a law to make it right/wrong.

Are his thoughts on abortion different from hers? I was under the impression that Trump was pro abortion, personally. I thought that was the whole point of getting rid of Roe, so that the decision could go back to the states and the people in those states could decide for themselves.

He could be privately as you raise a good point, but he'd never be able to say that publicly. Especially before an election.
