The postmodernist movement in academia, from which the woke movement sprang, was used to PREVENT Marxism, as in Karl Marx's ideas from being taught, much less Lenin's, and was always a tool of some of our ruling capitalist oligarchy.
It was also always a philosophical idealist tradition, not a materialist one, and sorry, if it ain't materialist, it ain't Marxist. Look at the trans movement. Someone has the IDEA that they were born into the wrong gender, therefore they really are the opposite gender! There's philosophical idealism for you.
Meanwhile, the materialist, Marxist or otherwise, points to the XX or XY chromosome and calls bullshit.
I don't know how old you are, but I'm in my 60s, and have heard Communism equated with totalitarianism all my life. I understand why that is--Stalin's Russia, Mao's China, Pol Pot's Cambodia, were all totalitarian governments. OTOH, Hitler was also a totalitarian, regimes like Saudi Arabia are authoritarian to the max, but no one ever calls them communist.
I'm not going to belabor the point and cry foul every time I see you use the term "woke communist," but I do assert that the term "woke authoritarian" is more accurate. It certainly describes Justice Jackson to a T, so authoritarian she can't even understand that the Bill of Rights exists to hamstring the government so it cannot become authoritarian in the first place.
Anyway, this anti-authoritarian materialist, who is just as despised by the disciples of Trotsky and Stalin as you are, will think "woke authoritarian" every time I see you use "woke communism" so I know what you are talking about.
