Welcome to this week’s issue of Morgthorak’s Goody Bag. This post is a smorgasbord of the content I’ve read this week, and that I liked enough to share with you here. 😎
NATO versus Russia
The idiot running France, Macron, recently threatened to send French soldiers into Ukraine. This, of course, is utter nonsense and is not going to happen because Russia has already indicated they will attack French soldiers who go into Ukraine, as well as any other NATO troops.
But here’s a simple explanation for why NATO cannot attack Russia:
Bear in mind also that all of NATO together cannot match Russia’s military-industrial output. The US and its vassal states in Europe cannot even manufacture enough shells to keep Ukraine in the war. Nor does NATO have hypersonic missiles or any way to stop Russia’s hypersonic missiles from reaching their targets.
To put it simply, NATO would get its ass kicked in a land war with Russia, and they know it. What you see Macron and others doing is venting their rage because they know the war in Ukraine is lost and there is nothing whatsoever they can do to change it.
NATO had its chance to avoid this situation when Putin put a peace deal on the table in Istanbul, and they decided to ignore it. The regime in Kiev stupidly believed that NATO’s support would result in victory over the Russians, and now it is all falling apart.
The Laptop Class versus the Physical Class
I bumped into an excellent essay by a writer I had never seen before on Substack. The article delves into the differences between the snotty, condescending Laptop Class that believes it has a right to rule every Western society and the Physical Class that actually does the jobs that make such societies work:
The Laptop Class prefers to live deep in an informational bubble, where anyone who offends their sensibilities gets exiled to the hinterlands of conservative and/or alternative media.
The Laptop Class really is quite comfortable stripping away political and economic freedom in the pursuit of utopian goals (though they typically exempt themselves from any such restrictions, a topic NS Lyons has also covered quite well). Trumpian populists promising to save their countries from the tyranny of the elite is not, as they say, a nothingburger
It’s not a coincidence that economic lockdowns disproportionately affected Physical Class jobs like running restaurants; government bureaucrats never saw a dime of lost income (in fact they got a new perk of working from home). Similarly, Defund the Police was a movement supported by ivory tower progressives who lived in low-crime gated communities and/or had the means to hire private security. Where the Laptop Class believes that credentialism is the sole path to wisdom, the Physical Class gives much greater weight to what Nassim Taleb calls Skin In The Game. What makes the pilots in the New Yorker cartoon trustworthy isn’t just that they went to flight school, but also that they’re onboard the same plane as the passengers, so if the plane crashes the pilots die too.
This article resonated with me because I’ve been on both sides of it, to a degree. In another life, I was part of the Laptop Class, before woke communism became their official religion. That was long ago, but I have not forgotten the split between those who type on a laptop all day and those who do physical labor. There is a condescending sense of superiority among the Laptop Class, who look down their noses at those doing physical jobs.
These days, however, I am a writer here on Substack and also a delivery driver. So I use the Laptop Class skills I developed long ago to write here, but I am also in the physical world, zooming around and delivering packages to today’s Laptop Class as well as their Physical Class counterparts.
I have seen how the rich, elitist Laptop Class lives in their huge houses, mansions, etc. but I have also seen how some (but not all) of the Physical Class lives in crappy apartments, sometimes ramshackle houses, as well as better but still much smaller homes than the Laptop Class. There is a huge class divide out there, and I see it every day as a delivery driver.
I will also say this: Today’s Laptop Class derives much of its status and income from living inside of an empire that has shat on much of the rest of the world. That empire is now collapsing, and the snotty Laptop Class is likely to learn the same sort of lessons the nobility and royalty learned during the French Revolution. In other words, their life of privilege and being “above it all” is going to come crashing down, along with the empire that created it.
Serves the snotty assholes right; screw them.
Remember your ancestors
Somebody posted this on X, and I want to include it here for those enmeshed in the anti-White hatred and discrimination that rules Western countries now. Remember your ancestors, my frens, and keep them close to your heart.
Israel kills aid workers
I have mostly held off commenting on the situation in Gaza, but it is time to call it what it is: genocide. The Israelis are out of control and need to be stopped; they are even using AI to target people in Gaza. The US could stop all of it in an instant by cutting off all funding and weapons, but the dementia-addled pedophile in the White House refuses to do so for political reasons.
The latest outrage is the murder of foreign aid workers by the Israeli military.
Here’s one of the people the Israelis murdered:
Even some regime media in the West have turned against Israel, but will it make a difference? I doubt it. The Israeli lobby in the United States still controls too much money and has far too much influence, but I hope I am wrong.
Anti-Zionist rabbi speaks at the UN
So much for being an “antisemite” and speaking out against the genocide happening in Gaza. I wonder if this guy will end up being targeted by the Israelis for these comments. It would not surprise me a bit.
Watch the video and remember the name David Weiss. Don’t be shocked if something bad happens to him as a result of this video.
Cool art from X
Somebody posted this on X, and I loved it. Not related to anything political or in the news, but still a great image. I had this urge to use it on my Substack. I love the way it is drawn and how he is holding the book. If it were clearly an undead, I might have used it. The colors also appeal to me as it is obviously set underground or in a very dimly lit chamber above ground, perhaps in a castle?
Husky dog hangs out with bears in Russia
I love this video; the dog and the bears are obviously getting along well together. Who can blame the dog for not wanting to go home? It has to be more fun hanging out with the bears than being at home.
The new Toyota Tundra
Wow! But is it an electric vehicle, a hybrid, or gas-powered? 🤔
Don’t fear the reaper
The Daily Mail, the supreme trash tabloid, actually had an interesting article about dying, and how the human body prepares a person to die:
The hospice nurse revealed that bodies began to slowly shut down in the six months leading up to death.
She explained that a person nearing death would start 'eating less, drinking less, and sleeping more.'
'Why is that happening? Because calcium levels in the body are going up and because calcium levels are going up the person is getting sleepier,' Julie said.
'Our brains have built in mechanisms to make us hungry and thirsty. Biologically, when the body knows it's getting towards the end of life those mechanisms shut off, so the person does not usually feel hungry and does not usually feel thirsty, which is helping the body slowly shut down.'
The health expert admitted that although death could seem terrifying when seeing someone else go through it, it felt 'natural' to those dying.
She said that while certain diseases could make death more uncomfortable, dying in itself wasn't painful.
Of course, the article only focuses on the body, not the soul. There is much more involved to prepare one’s soul for death, but the point of the article is not to fear death as the body you were born with includes everything that it needs to ease you into your passing.
But what happens after you pass matters more than dying, as it determines where your soul will reside: Heaven or Hell.
Elephant kills tourist
A 79-year-old woman was killed in an elephant attack in Africa. The bull elephant pursued the vehicle until it stopped and then flipped it over, resulting in the woman’s death.
As tragic as the story is, remember that she was 79 and was on the tour because she thought when she turned 80 that she might slow down and not be able to travel. As I see it, she died doing what she wanted to do, and now she will never suffer in a nursing home or otherwise deal with the usual situations that plague the elderly before death.
She went out with a bang while being active in the world.
God rest her soul.

I gotta say that Huskie video was really awesome and wholesome, as to laptop class vs physical, I'll be honest I've worked and enjoyed working Housekeeping yet am heading out to teach. I'm probably more part of the laptop class, but I dislike pcs and tech and like the countryside more and am unable to fit into the laptop class. I wonder what that makes me? Likely someone who doesn't fit in either.
